Superstars FC trio earn Gambia national team call up Superstars midfield trio namely Abdoulie Sanyang, Abubakr Barry and Saikou Touray have all made coach Tom Sainfiet Provisional squad to face Angola and DR Congo in a 2022 AFCON qualifier later this month Sanyang has already been capped thrice by the Gambia since making his debut against Guinea Conakry in October last year. Abubakr Barry and Saikou Touray on the other hand are in the team for the first time and the latter is really looking forward to making his mark. "I am very happy to be called up by coach Tom Sainfeit. It's my dream to play for the National team. I have represented the U20 and U23 but the national team is the icing on the cake." Touray stressed. Barry was also happy to make the list as he sees it as the beginning of good things. "It’s a great feeling to see my name up there really, I’m excited." Barry mentioned. The management were elated to see three of his players in the squad as I believe it will open a way for my talents to be spotted to help the national teams. Superstars academy is honored to have 3 of its players to be called up to the national duties. We opened our gates only 4 years ago and it is surely a remarkable milestone for us to be recognized as a feeder to the national squad.
